Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination - 2013

Commission will hold a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the  posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk for which 12th Standard Pass or  equivalent is the minimum qualification. The Examination will comprise of a Written  Objective Type Examination followed by Data Entry Skill Test / Typing Test .

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: ( As on 01.08.2013)

Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent or higher examination from a  recognised Board or University.

NOTE-I: As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. 44 dated  01.03.1995 published in Gazette of India edition dated 08.04.1995, the Degree obtained  through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance  Education Council, IGNOU. Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized for  the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be  accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (AS ON 01.09.2013):

Graduation from a recognised University/Institution with minimum 60% Marks. (For Candidates belonging to  SC/ST/PC category minimum 55% Marks). Graduation results should be declared by the University/Institution on or  before 01.09.2013. The candidates should produce the Semester/Year wise Mark Sheets, Consolidated Degree Mark  Sheet and Provisional Certificate at the time of Interview, failing which the candidates will not be allowed to attend the  Interview.

Note: Candidates are advised to only enter percentage of marks (calculated to the nearest two decimals) obtained in the  Graduation in the online application form. Where no percentage of mark is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/  OGPA is awarded, candidates are advised to convert the same into percentage and enter only the percentage of marks. The fraction of percentage will be ignored and will NOT be rounded off to the next highest integer i.e. 59.99% will be  treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

Allotment process against available vacancies of Specialist Officers for 2013-14 in Participating  Organisations has been completed (CWE SPL-II). Allotted candidates are being intimated  individually at the email address and mobile number recorded with IBPS at the time of online  registration for CWE SPL-II. Allotment has been done based on merit-cum-preference keeping in  view the spirit of various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time. A candidate  belonging to reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to General category, has  been treated at par with a General category candidate for drawing up the merit list. Such a candidate  has not been adjusted against a reserved post. However his/her allotment to an Organisation has been done by treating him/her as if he/she has qualified as a reserved category candidate. In the event of  two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the  candidate senior in age is placed before the candidate junior in age).

Here is good news for job aspirants. The recruitment process for over 50,000 officers and clerks in public sector banks is likely to kick off in about a month or two.

“We have requested banks to intimate us the vacancies to be filled for the next financial year. There may be confirmation by August/September. Then the process will begin,” A. S. Bhattacharya, Director, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), told Business Line.

A Common Written Examination (CWE ) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite (pre-qualification) for recruitment of personnel for Group-“A”-officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group-"B"-Office Assistants (Multipurpose) posts in the Reginoal Rural Banks, Listed Below.

This system of Common Examination for recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) has been approved by the Government of India, notified by NABARD and has the mandate of each of the RRBs.

IBPS, an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and a Public Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 has been authorised to conduct the Common Written Examination. The CWE for Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) posts will be conducted twice a year by IBPS.

The fate of over 60,000 bank job aspirants who qualified for the posts of officers and clerks hangs in balance due to uncertainty over their appointments.

“I wrote the test for probationary officer posts in public sector banks conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection last year and have been declared qualified after the interview. Since then I have been waiting for a call from banks,” M. Bhavika from Lucknow told Business Line.
