In my interview panel there are 3 people, out of whom two are aged between 55-65 and the remaining one is 45-55. All three are male person. I think they are DGM’s, AGM’s of PNB. Their faces are cute but their questions are very scary. I reached venue at 09.05 am and fortunately I am the first person in their list to be interviewed.Document verification took 20 minutes and after that my interview starts at 9.45 am.

Panel: Tell me about yourself, your family background, your education background, your Hobbies and interest, and why you want to join bank? Explain it. You have 1 minute.

Me : Answered

Panel: What is balance sheet? What is the purpose of balance sheet? Why we require?

ME : Define it, I don’t know the purpose but yeah I explained it that why we require.

Panel: Are you currently working? If yes, what are your roles and responsibilities? Where is Your job location? What is your current salary?

Me : Currently I am working with Artech Information system, which is the 10 largest staffing & IT consulting firm in the US. We provide the manpower resources to our clients which are based in US. I am working as Senior Recruitment Consultant and my salary is 20k per month. My job location is Noida.

Panel: Your home town is Panipat. I think Panipat is 3 – 4 hours away from Noida. So you can easily come down on weekends or on weekdays. So how will you manage in this job if bank posted you in Tamil Nadu or Kerela?

Me: I don’t have any problem to relocate. I am very much adjustable to any environment.

Panel: Then why you choose Noida after B.tech? Bangalore and Mumbai are also good options after IT?

Me: Because initially I am getting the same salary. Bangalore and Mumbai are quite expensive as comparison to Noida. So I can save more money while working there. That’s why I didn’t relocate to those places.

Panel: In Banks you will get almost the same salary, Then how will you manage, your posting can be anywhere? Please convince me that why should I hire you? Be honest with us.

Me: Explain it. (Job security, Govt job, all these things)

Panel: What is your IBPS Score? How many times you have appeared for bank exams?

Me:  IBPS PO Score 2: 165  This is my second attempt for IBPS PO. Earlier I didn’t qualify because I was just short of 2 marks in reasoning section. IBPS CWE Clerk: 150, but didn’t get the call from any bank.
IBPS CWE SO: All sections are qualified but didn’t qualify the TWS.

Panel: Okay that’s enough to judge you at personal level? Now come to banking.

Panel: What are KYC Norms? Which documents are required in KYC?

ME: Answered

Panel: Recently Go I hike the import duty on gold. Tell me in what percentage the hike is? You are a technical guy so I don’t expect any economical reason from you. What are the political reasons behind it? Explain.

Panel: Which are the two largest state assemblies of our country?

Me: UP, Maharashtra

Panel: What is full form of OPEC?

ME : Oil & Power Energy Commission. (It was wrong)

Panel: Why every country in the world wants to accumulate gold?

Me: Because it is precious Metal and expensive.

Panel: Why not Platinum, It is more precious and expensive?

ME: I don’t know

Panel: Name three financial advisor to PM.

Me: C Ranagarajan, Kaushik Basu and I don’t know the third.

Panel: Who is the financial secretary to Finance Minister?

Me: RS Gujral

Panel: What is the difference between WLA’s, BLA’s, ATM, ABM?

Panel: Which company acquires Satyam? What is the new name of that company?

Panel: Our Federal System is based on three pillars? Name them. From which country we adopt our federal system?

Me: Legislative, Judiciary, Executive. Britain (Not sure)

Panel: How many sections and schedules in our Indian Constitution?

Me: I don’t Know.

I have little beard so they ask me you didn’t shave today. So I told him that yesterday was Tuesday and I don’t use scissors and razor on that day kyunki hanuman ji ka din hota hai.

Panel: OK, Thanks for coming. It was nice and wonderful talking with you so best of luck.

Me: Thanks

So when I just stood, my trousers pockets are completely occupied. Panel asked me that you carry two cell phones. I replied and told them in one pocket I have iphone and in another I have wallet.
