Recruitment of  Officer Scale I & Office Assistants (Multipurpose)

Punjab Gramin Bank invites applications from Indian citizens, for the post of Officer in Junior Management (Scale I) Cadre and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) who have appeared at the Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 and declared qualified.

Vacancy Details:

• Officers Scale - I : 30 Posts
• Office Assistants (Multipurpose) : 50 Posts

Pay Scale:

• Officers Scale - I : Rs.14500 – 600 / 7 – 18700 – 700 / 2 – 20100 – 800 / 7 - 25700  
  EMOLUMENTS: Approx Rs.27078/-
• Office Assistants (Multipurpose) : : 7200 - 400/ 3 – 8400 – 500 / 3 – 9900 – 600 / 4 – 12300 -700 / 7 -17200 – 1300 / 1-18500 -800 /1- 19300.    
  EMOLUMENTS: Approx Rs.14980/-

Age (As on 01-06-2012) :

• For Officer Scale- I  : Above 18 years - Below 28 years
• For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : Between 18 years and 28 years
  

Educational Qualification:

• Officers Scale - I : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University and Proficiency in Local Language. Knowledge of Computer skills added qualification.

• Office Assistants (Multipurpose)  : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University and Proficiency in Local Language. Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification

• Language Proficiency : Proficiency in Local Language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed “Punjabi” as one of the subjects at Matriculation/10th Standard.

Note:

• All educational qualifications should be from a recognised university/ Board
• The result of the qualifying examination, i.e. Graduation or equivalent to graduation, as the case may be, should have been announced by the University on or before 01.06.2012.
• Candidates should have obtained the specified Total Weighted Standard Score as well as score in each test in the RRBs- Common Written Examination conducted in September 2012.

Application Fee:

• For Officer Scale I & II, III : Rs. 20/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.Rs.100/- for all others
• For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : Rs. 20/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates. Rs.100/- for all others

Payment of Fee:

• There are Two Challans available on web site (Bank’s Website) for all categories, details of which are as follows
  1. PUNJAB GRAMIN BANK - Challan No. 01
  2. PUNJAB GRAMIN BANK - Challan No. 02
• Candidates should download printout of one of the above Challan Form (as applicable to them for the post applied for) from the website of Bank www.pgbho.com.
• After filling up the required information on the Challan Form, they should make payment of the fee applicable to them in any branch of Punjab Gramin Bank OR Punjab National Bank for credit of account mentioned here under:
  Bank Name & Account No : Punjab Gramin Bank A/c No- 85012100058408. OR Punjab National Bank A/c No-0258002100039666.

• The payment towards application fee can be made through CBS from any of the Branches of the RRB or Punjab National Bank in the respective Account.
• The payment towards application fee through CBS can be made between 17-05-2013 and 31-05-2013.
• The CBS fee payment challan contains two parts. The first part will be retained by the Branch. The candidate’s copy of the fee payment challan must be retained with the candidate after the necessary details such as Transaction ID, Branch Code etc. are filled in by the bank official.
• Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other future selection process.

Selection Procedure:

• PERSONAL INTERVIEW: Depending on the number of vacancies, Bank will call from among who have applied to bank, the number, equivalent to three times the number of vacancies short-listed based on their Total Weighted Standard Scores (TWSS). Remaining applicants, if any will not receive an interview call from the Bank. The total marks for Interview will be 30, out of total 100 marks allotted for Written Test and Interview.

• INTERVIEW CENTRE: The Interview will be held at the Kapurthala centre and the complete address of the venue will be advised in the call letters. The address of the venues will also be displayed in the Bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of Interviews.
  Note: Bank reserves the right to cancel the centre and/or add some other centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the centres other than the one he/she has opted for.

How to Apply:

• Candidates are required to apply online through Bank’s website www.pgbho.com  between 17-05-2013 and 31-05-2013. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

• Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website and click on the link “Recruitment / Careers”. Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification.

• Payment of fee.

• Candidates are now ready to Apply Online by re-visiting the Recruitment Link on the Bank’s website www.pgbho.com. All the fields in the online Application format should be filled up carefully.

• Original fee payment receipt i.e CBS challan will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of Interview. Without original CBS challan the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Interview. Candidates are also advised to keep a photocopy of the fee payment challan with them.

• Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of  application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such applications would be rejected.
