Purvanchal Bank (erstwhile Purvanchal Gramin Bank) invites applications from Indian citizens, for the post of Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), who have appeared at the Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 and declared qualified.

Vacancy Details:

  • Officers Scale - I: 86 Posts
  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose) : 112 Posts

Pay Scale:

  • Officers Scale - III : 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700. 
    EMOLUMENTS: Approx Rs.27078/-
  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose) : : 7200 - 400/ 3 – 8400 – 500 / 3 – 9900 – 600 / 4 – 12300 -700 / 7 -17200 – 1300 / 1-18500 -800 /1- 19300.    
    EMOLUMENTS: The total starting emoluments of a Graduates Office assistant will be around Rs 13,482/- inclusive of D.A and HRA at the current rate excluding other allowances.

Age (As on 01-06-2012) :

  • For Officer Scale- I  : Above 18 years - Below 28 years
  • For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : Between 18 years and 28 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Officers Scale - I : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University and Proficiency in Local Language.Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry , Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification
  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose)  : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University and Proficiency in Local Language.
  • Language Proficiency : Candidates are required to possess proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT in which RRB is located and must have passed i.e., local language  as one of the subjects at Matriculation/ X Standard

Application Fee:

  • For Officer Scale I : Rs. 20/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.Rs.100/- for all others
  • For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : Rs. 20/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates. Rs.100/- for all others

Requisite Application Fee may be paid through CBS at any of the Branches of State Bank Of India or Purvanchal Bank (erstwhile Purvanchal Gramin Bank), by means of a Payment challan available in the Bank’s website www.pgbgorakhpur.com

Selection Procedure:

  • PERSONAL INTERVIEW: Depending on the number of vacancies, Bank will call from among who have applied to bank, the number, equivalent to three times the number of vacancies short-listed based on their Total Weighted Standard Scores (TWSS). Remaining applicants, if any will not receive an interview call from the Bank. The total marks for Interview will be 30.
  • INTERVIEW CENTRE: The Interview will be held at the GORAKHPUR centre and the complete address of the venue will be advised in the call letters. The address of the venues will also be displayed in the Bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of  Interviews.
    Note: Bank reserves the right to cancel the centre and/or add some other centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the centres other than the one he/she has opted for.

Eligible candidates can apply online through bank’s website www.pgbgorakhpur.com  from 10-04-2013 to 25-04-2013. After submission of the online application candidates should take the print out of the application.

Instructions for online Applications:

  • Candidates have to log on www.pgbgorakhpur.com
  • Candidates should download the Challan from the website and pay the fee as mentioned above.
  • Branch Code and Branch Transaction Journal Number noted on the challan form should be correctly filled in the application form.
  • Revisit the website and Click on ‘Apply Online’ link.
  • Fill all the mandatory fields in the application form & click on the submit button.
  • Candidates should take the print out of the system generated application form and retain it for future reference use.
  • Application printout along with the fee payment receipt and required copies of documents should be kept ready for submission if short listed for interview.
