Eligibility:
Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline (Second Class with 55% aggregate marks / equivalent CGPA)

All Educational qualifications, Graduation/ Post Graduation etc. shall be from a University recognized by Government Of India. Technical qualification (BE, B Tech, MBA etc.) shall be from an institution accredited by AICTE/ UGC recognition required wherever applicable.

Candidates must possess the qualification as on 01.10.2010.

The candidates should have proficiency in appropriate computer skills / working knowledge of application packages used in office automation/ computer environment.

In respect of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, relaxation in minimum mark for educational qualification will be allowed upto 5% wherever minimum qualifying marks are stipulated.

Applications have to be submitted by the eligible candidates only 'ONLINE' i.e. through internet on our Bank’s website www.indianbank.in Any other means / mode of application including those in printed form ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Before submitting the online application, the application fee must be paid in cash at any branch of INDIAN BANK only. An application registered online without actual payment of fees will not be entertained.

Selection Procedure:
a. The written examination comprises Objective and
Descriptive papers.
b. Depending upon the number of vacancies only a certain number of
candidates from among those who qualify by ranking sufficiently high in merit on
the basis of aggregate marks in the written test will be called for the
interview.
c. The candidate has to secure a minimum passing mark in the interview to
qualify for the final selection.
d. The final selection would be on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by
the candidates inthe written examination and interview and strictly in the order
of merit.
Objective Test: (Duration 135 minutes)
Name of the Tests and Medium of Exams:
- Reasoning : In English & Hindi
- Quantitative Aptitude: In English & Hindi
- English Language: In English
- General Awareness: English & Hindi
Note: Negative marks will be awarded for wrong answer in the Objective Test.
Descriptive Paper of one hour duration consisting of 5 questions on socio-economic environment out of which the Candidates have to attempt any four. The candidates have the option to answer the descriptive paper also in Hindi or English. Marks obtained in descriptive paper will not be reckoned for merit ranking. Mere eligibility / pass in the test shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for the Interview.

Call Letters For The Written Examination:
The date of written test will be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue for the Examination. Facility for downloading call letters online will also be provided about one week prior to the examination, the details of which will be made available in the Bank’s website.
Note: In case of any difficulty in downloading the call letter an eligible candidate who does not receive the call letter by 22.12.2010 may contact the Bank between 23.12.2010 and 01.01.2011 indicating his/her name, address, date of birth, details of payment of fee/ application submitted online and examination centre opted for to enable the Bank to take immediate remedial action. The details regarding address, telephone number where the candidates have to contact the Bank for clarification etc. will be made available in the Bank's website from 22.12.2010.
