Pay Scale : Pay band of (PB-1) 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 2400/- plus other allowances as admissible to Central Government employees in similar pay bands.

Qualification:

• Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
• Working Knowledge of Computer including use of Office suites and databases.

Age Limit: Between 18-27 years as on 24.01.2012. Relaxation of upper age limit is admissible to various categories as per rules/instructions of Government of India.

Center of Exam : The examination consisting of two parts, will be held at Kanpur or any other center to be decided based on the no. of online applications received.

Application Fees

• A crossed demand Draft/Banker's Cheques issued on or after publication of this advertisement, in favour of Regional Director, E.S.I. Corporation, Kanpur. Payable at Kanpur, for Rs. 225/- (Rupees Two hundred twenty five only)
  
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen category as well as female applicants and employees of E.S.I. Corporation are exempted to pay any fee charges.

Process of Selection

The examination consisting of two parts, will be held at Kanpur or any other center to be decided based on the no. of online applications received.

Part-I :- The written test will consist of one paper of 200 marks containing 04 parts:-

(i) English Language
(ii) General Intelligence
(iii) Numerical ability and
(iv) General Awareness.

There will be 50 questions in each part, each question carrying one mark.

The questions in all the four parts will be objective type (Multiple choice).

The examination will be of 02 (Two) hours' duration. For every wrong answers 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Part-II:- The candidates will have to appear for Computer Skill test either in English or in Hindi language as such they are advised to opt for the medium of examination carefully for Computer Skill Test in the application form. The Computer Skill Test shall comprise of following three parts :-

• Preparation of two Power Points Presentations/Slides on MS-Power Points - 10 marks.
• Typing a letter/passage/ paragraph of about 150-200 words in MS-Word - 20 marks.
• Preparation of Table/Database in MS-Excel - 20 marks.

The total marks of the Computer Skill Test shall be 50 (Fifty) with duration of 30 minutes for completing all the three parts. (The candidates shall be given the Test/matter in the Question Paper which they have to type/reproduce in the Answer Sheet including formatting of text and use of formulae etc. as per instruction given in the Question Paper).
