The Director, Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Kozhikode invites application from eligible candidates to filling up the following posts.

Junior Technical Assistant (T-1)

Total Posts: 2 (Two) Unreserved

Pay Scale : PB-1 of Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2000/- plus usual allowances admissible to Central Govt. Servants.

Place of Duty: IISR, Experimental Farm, Peruvannamuzhi.

Educational Qualification:

• Essential: Matriculation with at least one year certificate in Agriculture from a recognized Institution.
• Desirable: One year Experience in Agricultural Farm..

Age Limit: 18-30 years

Lower Division Clerk

Total Posts: 1 (One) Unreserved

Pay Scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200-20200,with Grade pay of Rs. 1900/- Plus usual allowances admissible to Central Govt. Servants

Place of Duty: IISR, Kozhikode

Educational Qualification:

• Essential: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
• A typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

Age Limit: 18-27 years

General Instructions:

• The maximum age limit for regular ICAR employees will be relaxable up to 45 years.Crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates. Age relaxation is applicable to OBC / SC /ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates to the extent permissible under the rules.
• Relaxation in upper age limit subject to submission of the requisite certificate. issued by the Competent Authority.
  (i) Up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to SC or ST.
  (ii) Up to a maximum of three years in respect of candidates belonging to other backward classes.
  (iii) For Physically Handicapped candidates, the upper age limit will be relaxable up to a maximum of 10 years. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC who are also covered under the Physically Handicapped category will beeligible for grant of cumulative age relaxation under both the categories will be eligible for grand of cumulative age relaxation under both the catagories.
  (iv) To other bonafide displaced persons/repatriates of Indian origin/Defence service personnel/Border Security Force personnel etc. as per the existing instructions of the Govenrment of India on the subject.

How To Apply:

• Application forms (separate for T1 & LDC post ) can be downloaded from the website www. spices.res.in. and submit the same duly filled up and supported by copies of certificates educational /technical qualifications and experience etc. duly attested by the Gazetted Officer. The applications complete in all respects, should reach the Director, Indian Institute of Spices Research, MarikkunnuP.O, Kozhikode -673 012, on or before 31st March 2012.
• Persons already employed should route their application through proper channel.
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates call for interview/test. However, unemployed SC/STcandidates called for interview/test will be paid traveling expenses to the extent permissible under the rules, on production of proof. i.e. Second class rail fare or bus fare.
• The posts are of permanent nature and at present are filled on temporary basis.
• At present, the place of posting is as indicated in the advertisement. However, the same is liable to \be transferred anywhere in India under IISR/ICAR.
• The appointment is under ICAR and will be governed by New Pension Scheme introduced by Govt. of India w.e.f 01.01.2004 mutatis mutandis and as amended, clarified or modified from time to time. HRA and other allowances are admissible as per rules for all the posts.
• No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection, test, interview or appointment. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
• Separate application should be submitted for each post. The cover containing applications should be superscribed as “Application for the post of _________________________”
• Applications received after the due date for whatsoever the reason including postal delays will not be considered.
• The Director, IISR reserves the right either to fill up all the posts or any of them and to reject any or all the applications, without assigning any reasons thereof. Director, IISR, Kozhikode reserves the right to fix criteria and short-list the candidates for Test/Interview, after due screening of applications.
