APPOINTMENT
FOR THE POSTS of PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (500 Vacancies, 1500 Probationary Clerks)

Applications are invited for the following posts:
1. Probationary Clerks: 1000 Posts
2. Probationary Officer: 500 Posts
Eligible candidates are requested to apply ON-LINE through Bank’s website
www.canarabank.com. No other means / mode of Application will be accepted.
Unless the computer print-out of application is received by post, along with
Demand Draft, Photo and other relevant documents, the on-line registration is
not valid.
Staying and posting from abroad, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & OTHER DETAILS:
Probationary Officers [JMGS-I]:
a) Qualification: Graduation with First Class-with 60% [SC/ST/PWD
candidates – 55%].
b) Job Profile: General Banking, House keeping etc and any other work
assigned by the Bank from time to time.

NOTE:
(i) The requisite application fee / postage must be paid by means of a crossed Demand Draft issued by any Scheduled Commercial Bank in favour of Canara Bank –Recruitment Project – 2010 payable at Mumbai.
(ii) Demand Draft should be dated between the following dates;
Even if the last date of registration changes due to technical reasons, the valid dates of demand drafts will not be changed
(iii) Payment of application fee by Cash / Cheque / Money Orders / Postal Orders etc will not be accepted
(iv) Candidates must note his/her name, date of birth, post name & post code on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
6. SELECTION PROCEDURE
Probationary Officer [Post Code-2] & | Written Test + Interview |
For the posts of Probationary Clerk [Post Code-1], Probationary Officer [Post Code-2] & Official Language Officer [Post Code-4]:
The selection for post codes 1, 2 & 4 is on the basis of qualifying in the written test and performance in interview.
The written test shall consist of Objective Test & Descriptive Test. The details of test are as follows;

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in Objective Test. Other
details regarding the test will be given to the candidates in the “Acquaint
Yourself Booklet”, which will be sent along with the call letter for written
examination.
Depending on the number of vacancies, such of those candidates who rank
sufficiently high in the order of merit in the written test as per the cut off
marks decided by the Bank will only be called for interview. Mere admission to
the test / eligibility / pass in the test does not imply that the Bank is
satisfied beyond doubt about the candidates’ eligibility and shall not vest any
right in a candidate for being called for interview.
